BIO:
AS A FRESHMAN (2020): Played in 16 games with 12 starts...played in the outfield and as designated hitter...batted .147 but also shared the team lead with 12 walks...drove in four RBI and scored seven runs...finished 2-for-2 on stolen bases...had one hit, one RBI and one run scored against Arkansas on Feb. 29...went 2-for-3 with one RBI, a run, and recorded his first career stolen base against Boise State on Feb. 23…first career hit was also his first career home run at Rice on Feb. 15.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in each of his seasons at Boerne High School under head coach Bill Merrell…finished his career second in Texas high school baseball history with 106 career stolen bases…named THSBCA first team All-State and a unanimous first team All-District outfielder…team MVP during junior and senior seasons… was named first team All-District and All-Area, and second team All-State as a junior…participated in the 2018 States Play Series…was named to the WWBA All-Tournament Team in both 2018 and 2017…named first team All-District and All-Area as a sophomore and named the 2016 District 28-4A Newcomer of the Year as a freshman…also a three-year starter for the Boerne football team…he became the school's all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns…also a four-year letterman in track and field…member of National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Student Council and Spanish Club.
PERSONAL: Son of Doug and Lori Hodo…has two older sisters, Hannah and Grace, and a younger brother, Hayden…his father, Doug, was a starting outfielder on the 1983 Longhorns College World Series team before going on to play minor league baseball in the Phillies and Braves organizations.
